Timothy P. Dorey, Jr.

Dr. Timothy P. Dorey, Jr. recently moved to Northern Virginia to continue to pursue his passion for chiropractic care with NOVA Pain & Rehab Center. Dr. Dorey currently oversees the Ballston clinic in Arlington, VA. In addition to Chiropractic care, Dr. Dorey brought extensive experience in a broad variety of health conditions to the NOVA team, namely sports, work, and motor vehicle-related injuries and rehabilitation.

Dr. Dorey is well versed in several techniques, including diversified, flexion-distraction, muscle activation technique, Thompson drop, activator method, myofascial release, extraspinal/spinal stabilization, strength and conditioning rehabilitation, radiographic imaging development and interpretation, nutritional counseling, and physiotherapeutic modalities.

Dr. Dorey’s formal education includes an undergraduate degree in his double major of Environmental Science and Chemistry with a pre-med minor at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. His post-graduate education culminated in a Human Biology degree in 2006 and a Chiropractic Doctorate in 2008 from National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Dorey currently resides in Arlington, VA and makes monthly backpacking excursions to his favorite trails within the Shenandoah National Park. Besides being a mountaineering enthusiast, he also enjoys skiing, golf, karaoke, rock crawling, and weight training.
